At CBB, we cannot deliver innovation or service excellence without the hard work and dedication of our employees.

As such, we recognise the contribution of our staff on a monthly basis with two awards:

Employee of the month and Team of the month

Show your appreciation by nominating a CBB employee or team for an award, please complete the form below. Monthly winners are shortlisted for the annual CBB Executive Leadership Team award, which is presented to one staff member at a special event towards the end of the calendar year.

 

Service Excellence Award Nomination Form

Please use the below form to nominate for the Employee of the month or Team of the month award.

What did the individual or team do; how did they do it; what was the outcome; and how does this relate to the criteria for the award.

Employee of the month award

To recognise excellence and innovation in the delivery of services by CBB employees.

All CBB employees except for members of the Executive Leadership Team.

Awards will recognise outstanding individual performance which meets some or all of the following criteria:

  • Effectiveness in demonstrating excellence and/or innovation in the execution of their duties.
  • Establishing strategic partnerships with other agencies, including community groups.
  • Participating in or promoting activities which support individuals, families, carers or the community.
  • Making a significant contribution to the development and improvement of work practices, procedures, or equipment that creates substantial benefits for CBB.
  • Embodying and modelling a high standard of behaviour and performance.
  • Clearly demonstrating and promoting CBB’s values.

Nominations can be lodged by any employee, client, or customer of CBB. Self-nominations will also be accepted.

Nominations must be submitted using the above Service Excellence Award Nomination form. In no more than 1,250 characters, please include a summary of why you are nominating the employee, addressing the following points:

  • What the individual did
  • How they did it
  • The outcome; and
  • How this relates to the criteria for the award

Nominations will be open from the 1st of each month and will close on the 15th of each month.

An individual can nominate more than one person for an award.

Individuals can be re-nominated in subsequent months regardless of whether their previous nomination was successful.

Assessment of the nominations will be conducted by a selection panel comprised of CBB’s Executive Leadership Team. A client, customer or strategic partner of CBB may also be asked by the CEO to join the selection panel.

The selection panel will meet as soon as possible following the close of nominations each month.

The selection panel will attempt to make its decisions by consensus rather than by majority vote.

The selection panel decision is final.

 

Each month, the award will be presented to the successful nominee on the last Friday of the month.

The winners will also be acknowledged in CBB’s annual report.

Team of the month award

To recognise excellence and innovation in the delivery of services within teams working at CBB.

This category covers all teams within CBB (excluding the Executive Leadership Team). Teams can loosely or formally be defined as being a team because of their combined and common purpose (i.e. can also be project based).

Awards will seek to recognise outstanding team performance which meets some or all of the following criteria:

  • Effectiveness in demonstrating excellence and/or innovation in the execution of their duties.
  • Establishing strategic partnerships with other agencies, including community groups.
  • Participating in or promoting activities which support individuals, families, carers or the community.
  • Making a significant contribution to the development and improvement of work practices, procedures, or equipment that creates substantial benefits for CBB.
  • Embodying and modelling a high standard of behaviour and performance.
  • Clearly demonstrating and promoting CBB’s values.

Annual Executive Leadership Team award

For the Executive Leadership Team to recognise the person or team that they believe has made the most significant overall contribution to the work of CBB.

Winners of the monthly individual and team awards within the relevant calendar year will be shortlisted for the award. No other employees or teams are eligible for consideration.

Awards will seek to recognise outstanding team performance which meets some or all of the following criteria:

  • Effectiveness in demonstrating excellence and/or innovation in the execution of their duties.
  • Establishing strategic partnerships with other agencies, including community groups.
  • Participating in or promoting activities which support individuals, families, carers or the community.
  • Making a significant contribution to the development and improvement of work practices, procedures, or equipment that creates substantial benefits for CBB.
  • Embodying and modelling a high standard of behaviour and performance.
  • Clearly demonstrating and promoting CBB’s values.

CBB’s Executive Leadership Team will assess the merit of each eligible individual and team, then make a recommendation to the CEO. The CEO will then approve a consensus decision. In the event the Executive Leadership Team cannot reach a consensus, the CEO will have the deciding vote. The CEO’s decision is final.

The award will be presented at a special event towards the end of the calendar year.

The winner will also be acknowledged in CBB’s annual report.
