Adrian is a Senior Associate at VUCA and an experienced Chief Executive with a diverse career in defence, hospitality, consulting and government both here and overseas – all of which give him a unique perspective.
Adrian served as a Captain in the Australian Army before moving to Switzerland where he was the Academic Dean of a Hotel Management College in Lucerne.
On returning to Adelaide, Adrian ran his own organisational development and training consultancy before joining BAE Systems as the leader of their national change program. Adrian then worked in organisational development roles in two Adelaide councils, including the Adelaide City Council, before returning to his own consulting business. Here, Adrian provided change management and leadership advice to a wide variety of businesses, aimed at keeping them risk free.
In 2009, Adrian took on a role as Director with the City of Marion, and in 2012 was appointed the Chief Executive of the District Council of Yankalilla. In 2015, he moved back to serve City of Marion Council as Chief Executive until early 2021.
Adrian serves on the following NFP boards: Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Selection Committee, Green Industries SA, and Green Adelaide. As demonstrated by his Board roles, Adrian has a strong interest in the environment.
