Understanding Ourselves and Others The role of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator in NFP’s.
At times, both in our work and home lives we have all have experienced the “why did they respond that way?” Gaining understanding as to our own and others’ personalities helps develop positive professional relationships and build organisational capability.
This half day workshop will utilise the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument (MBTI®) as a tool to help us gain a deeper appreciation of the differing personality preferences. The MBTI® instrument is a self report personality questionnaire that is used to measure and describe people's preferences for how they like to gain information, make decisions, and how they interact with the world. The MBTI® instrument provides a simple way of identifying and understanding how people differ and how they are alike. Undertaking the self assessment will form part of this workshop.
Outcomes of the workshop will enhance: • Self-understanding and Development: time and stress management, problem solving. • Team Building: interpersonal communication, conflict resolution. • Organisational Development and Change: understanding responses to change, corporate culture and valuing diversity in the work place. • Leadership/Management Training: management coaching and understanding leadership style and managerial potential.
