| Why? |
Strategic and Business planning processes are critical to organisational development and form a key focus of the CBB’s mission to develop the “capacity and capability” of community organisations.
When community based organisations invest in strategic and business plans they build a road map to achieve the vision they have for their organisation. Strategic planning is a primary governance responsibility of the Board or Committee of Management, who collaborate with their CEO/Executive Team when developing the plan.
Strategic plans normally have a duration of three years or more. Whereas business plans are normally limited to a 12-month timeframe and establish the operational actions to be undertaken so that the progressive accomplishment of goals is achieved on an annual basis.
