It is now law that you must check your tax status each year to ensure your objects have not changed and therefore affected your tax status.

A good time to review this is at your first Board meeting after the AGM.

The Australian Government have set up a website to check your status on-line, at http://www.abr.business.gov.au where you can enter your ABN to see how your status is recorded.

The ATO has designed a “Look up” page which gives you all the tools at your fingertips including quicksearch, access to application forms, FAQ’s and downloadable tools.
