16/09/2005 | Murderball hits the spot“A funny, tough, ribald and heartbreaking
documentary - easily one of the films of the year.”
PARAQUAD SA and Wheelchair Sports were proud to
present the South Australian Charity premiere of
MURDERBALL, at the Palace Nova Cinemas on
Wednesday 14th September 2005.
Over 200 people, including members of the SA Sharks
and the current National Wheelchair Rugby Champions supported the premiere film night.
MURDERBALL, Winner of the Documentary Audience
Award and a Special Jury Prize at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, is a film about tough, highly competitive rugby players - Quadriplegic rugby players.
But most of all, it is a film about standing up, even after
your spirit - and your spine - has been crushed.
CBB was delighted to have been able to sponsor this
event which raised over $1,500 for PARAQUAD SA and
Wheelchair Sports
