OverviewThe objective of professional training and development is to enable staff (and volunteers) to acquire the knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes necessary to improve their performance. Training and development should focus on the objectives and goals of the organisation or ‘business’ unit, and staff’s competencies in achieving them. The strategic and best approach has the following characteristics:
The purpose of career development is to identify and develop the potential within staff, to build existing skill levels, and to prepare staff to take on greater responsibility during their career. Career development has to balance the needs and aspirations of the individual with the needs of the organisation. CBB Consulting provides a wide range of training and development services for Boards, managers, staff and volunteers in such areas as:
We have a Calendar of regular courses into which individuals or groups can enrol (refer to the Training Calendar) as well as tailor-made training and development activities for organisations or teams within organisations. The latter ‘bespoke’ activities are extremely cost effective and can be targeted towards specific organisational needs. We have access to a range of CBB and external Associate consultants who can respond to most not-for-profit organisational requirements. If we are unable to provide a direct service we undertake to find an appropriate training resource for you. CBB also conducts an exciting program which offers a proven approach towards opportunity development – team-building and human resource management forms fundamental core content together with the preparation of a concise and realistic business plan to turn an idea or concept into reality. This program is The Social Enterprise Workshop (TSEW). Please click onto the TSEW link to find out more about this skills development opportunity. |
