Evaluation

An evaluation or assessment process is applied to validate or verify whether the actual outcomes or outputs achieved by a program, an activity, department or project, were in accordance with what was expected. The evaluation or assessment process becomes an opportunity to review critically why actual and expected results were or were not achieved.

CBB Consulting applies four levels of evaluation or assessment as part of the process of analysing the results of a program, activity, department or project; these being:

• Effectiveness
• Appropriateness
• Cost Effectiveness
• Efficiency

The extent to which each of the four levels is applied, will depend on the complexity of the items being evaluated, the need for the specific evaluation process and the reliability of analysis required. This will vary to meet the needs of the project.
