Moving marketing to the cloud

The client

Somerville Community Services Inc is a non-government, not for profit, youth, family and community welfare organisation based in the Northern Territory. Its mission is to impact positively on the dignity and quality of life of people who are affected by social and economic disadvantage.

The challenge

Somerville recognised the importance of adding marketing expertise to their team, but were having difficulty recruiting at a local level.

Our solution

CBB proposed our Virtual Marketing Team service to Somerville, which would provide a set number of hours of marketing support each month, including social media monitoring, website updates, the production of the quarterly newsletter and annual report.

This service was (and continues to be) provided to Somerville in the Northern Territory from CBB’s head office in Adelaide – proving that marketing services can be effectively provided remotely and ‘in the cloud’.

The outcome

Somerville has benefited not only from more consistent marketing, but also, through their collaboration with CBB on the design of their Annual Report, they improved on their already high reporting standards by receiving a Gold Award in the Australasian Reporting Awards.

In early 2016, Somerville committed to another annual contract for CBB’s Virtual Marketing Team services.
